January 5, 2016, 4:03 pm I received a call yesterday and today from this number, Yesterday was a male and today a female. I had difficulty understanding them due to their strong accent. They claimed to be from Windows and said their computer had detected some files that were malicious. They wanted to assist me in deleting these files. I declined as there are so many scams out there. January 5, 2016, 6:17 pm I received a call yesterday from this number from a female stating she worked for Windows. I knew this was a scam since Windows is made by Microsoft and no it's own parent company as well as Microsoft would never call you personally and ask to fix your computer. January 5, 2016, 6:40 pm I just got done receiving calls from 2127206130, after a months worth and reporting them. Now it looks like they have switched numbers and I am getting the 212-650-7149 number. Will not answer like the rest, but this is a nusance and getting me in trouble at work! I keep phone on low due to emergency calls from son. Why can't they catch these guys?

I ONLY answered this call because caller I.D. identified as City College. Same nonsense tech scam as Dan and Chris above. January 9, 2016, 3:29 pm I called my local police department. They agreed it is a scam, but they cannot do anything because a crime is not committed unless I actually got scammed. That is frustrating. These people are probably getting some to to give control to them - where they will take control of your computer so they can steal passwords of your accounts at banks, etc. Ugh... I usually don't answer since I do not answer unknown numbers, but they keep calling and this has been going on for over 2 months now! So annoying! So today I finally answered and it was a man with a heavy Indian accent. I said to stop calling me and he said "No, I will call you back." and I said "No! Remove my number from your call list" And as I was hanging up I could hear him in the background saying "I will call you back." This is so annoying! I wish they would stop calling! They asked for my step mom (by her personal nickname) and when i said she wasn't available they got very quiet. Then when i asked them who they were they told me "i am your boyfriend." after that they either hung up or just muted me. Very confused as to why they said that and didnt try to scam me. January 28, 2016, 3:53 pm Supposedly a call from Microsoft. Sounded like an Indian accent. Immediately was on guard when they stated that they were monitoring my computer and started asking questions. I asked a set of mine back and he started to falter. The few times I have picked up It's a man with a very heavy Indian accent stating he's from windows and receiving error messages from my computer. January 30, 2016, 4:44 pm I get these calls twice a day every day. I do not answer. The first one I did and they said that they represented Microsoft and needed to repair the files that were bad and sending out error messages. I told him not to cal and it was a spam since Microsoft NEVER EVER CALLS OUT. He insisted he was. When I said I would contact FCC and never to call again, he hung up. Well, obviously he did not get the message since two calls a day everyday occurs. I mentioned this to someone and the person said that she was taken by them. She allowed remote access, they deleted her files; and she had to pay on her credit card for the files to be returned. Sad. Please do not answer this call. They are scammers. If they know names of people in your house hold, you or someone is spending too much time talking and or typing. Your facebook and or the mic on your computer has been hijacked! I don't know how to make a phony phone number show up when I call, but obviously some work is being put into this for bigger gains. I see it as harassment, legal issues and stupidity. Computers used to be fun, lemmings get off of facebook. Google up Win 10 security holes, they are relentless at sending personal information with this new free(?) OS. I don't answer numbers I don't know. This is low hanging fruit for law enforcement, why they won't drop the doughnut for some easy work before lunch? The calls just keep coming for what purpose? Are you employed with Mircosoft? eventually no. If you know about the problem on my computer, what is my IP address? Don't have it, because it's dynamically set. (Partial truth.) What operating system am I using? Windows. Which one? Missdirected response. Eventually, Windows 10, which I don't use. Once, I answered with "FBI, Fraud detection and prevention". Didn't phase them, they went right on. Have a Magic Jack home phone. Filed an "Abusive Caller" complaint which they say the will investigate. I know, I know..... they'll just change numbers. Next time they call I will respond enthusiastically with, give me a moment to get a piece of paper....... let them hang on until they hang up. I went on the Do Not Call Registry - filed 10x . I tried to block it They just call and call EVERY DAY and nothing can be done -makes me sick ! Once I answered I got a hello and hang up . You re-dial and get a message from City College of NY - that this number was stolen and is being used by scammers-phishers. During the first call, the caller said only my last name, and when I then asked who it was and the purpose of the call they hung up. I tagged the number to avoid answering but they wait for just long enough for voicemail to kick in (probably to confirm my name, which I don't reveal in my greeting), and then hang up (so I have a voicemail I have to confirm is nothing later). Often comes up as CCNY but it's always an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft and telling me they've detected a problem with my laptop. February 19, 2016, 8:52 pm I just got a call from 212-650-7149. I got this call 2 times today. Bothe from a man. He was speaking in an Indonesian accent. And said they was from Microsoft. They said I had lots of errors on my computer. I said to him that I know that every time you go into a web page you get errors. Or even download something you get errors. And that I don't want them to do anything with my computer. Because Microsoft don't call people about errors. or viruses! They knew my first and last name. But I shut them down when I told them I work on computers and got a number to Microsoft to talk to tech support. They hurried up and got off the phone. But for a bit they was getting forceful with me and I told them no way in hell I am letting them take control of my computer. They hung up. So it was a scam the number isn't real. February 20, 2016, 5:02 pm Scammers claiming to be Windows representatives, claiming there were errors with my new Windows 10 Opperating system in which I do not have, then they said Vista, gave my email address as proof. Be careful who sees your email address today. They were Phishing for info. asked me for my computer ID number, I asked them for thier Windows/Microsoft ID number they gave me a phony session ID, I asked to speak to the supervisor, someone else supposedly came on the line, I asked them for an 800# to verify ID they gave me Microsoft's 800 # 1-800-642-7676 and hung up on me after I told them I was going to call it. February 20, 2016, 8:24 pm Constantly get calls from this number telling me my computer either has a virus, or that there are downloaded files that need their attention. I know it's a scam, but couldn't help but mess with the guy ("Bob" or "John" with a heavy Indian accent). I said I was so glad he called and I'd be happy to give him all my info if he could tell me what was on my computer screen at this very moment. When they tell me they can't see what's on my computer until I give them access, I then ask how they know there's a virus on it if they can't log into my computer? That usually ticks them off!
