July 20, 2016, 10:50 am Got 2 calls and messages from this number stating not to disregard this message and gave me a case #CH76295 (the same as others). I waited a few hours to call back this time and got through. When I questioned him as to him office location, he hung up on me. I called back spoke to another "agent" asked for her badge # she stated she wasn't allowed to give it out, that's absurd, then she hung up on me. Needless to say the IRS is NOT coming to arrest me. July 20, 2016, 1:00 pm I work for an attorney office and one of our clients called wondering what to do about these phone calls, when I call and say I am from a law firm calling in regards to my client they hang up on me. Please don't fall for this scam. My client is so happy she called us to investigate the issue. She is reporting all the numbers to the Attorney Generals Office for investigation. July 20, 2016, 5:36 pm I got the same message from the same number with the same case file number. I called them back acting all concerned. A woman informed me that I owed back taxes from where I was trying to defraud the IRS. She informed me that if I hung up they would send the police to arrest me. After a few choice, not so nice worship hung up on her. I hope the older folks don't fall for this scam.
