That is not the normal operation of the government when it comes to collecting debts. They are very slow and use registered mail, not green dot prepayment cards like this scammer. Don't fall for it!! They are most likely Indian scammers who ip based phones to make internet calls that are difficult to trace and then hope that fear will make you their next victims. Social engineering scammers!! September 30, 2015, 12:17 pm Recorded message from "David Gray" claiming to represent the U.S. Treasury. Message is directed to my elderly parents on their home line and requests that they call back immediately. This call was repeated 3 times in a 45 minute period. Instead of saying they are from the IRS this time they are saying they are from the US Treasury Department and that you owe $4500 that is due immediately. Threats of arrest. It said for further details to contact them on a direct line, then gave a 707 area code phone number. So I looked up the callers phone number, and found your site.
