February 8, 2016, 9:40 am I received a call this AM for my daughter in reference Batch # 19631 stating she needed to call them at this number because a bench warrant had been issue against her with the Treasury Dept and they were to pick her up in 2 hours. I researched it and found out it was a scam. He gave me his name as Keith Nelson and spelled it for me. The name he left on the answering machine sounded more like Eric Wilson. His accent was that of a person from India. I researched the number and it came up as Broadway Communications, LLC Florida Caller Company: Legal dept IRS Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

February 8, 2016, 6:31 pm I received a call from this number this afternoon at 2:48pm. They said they were from the US Treasury and there was issues with my 2013 Tax Return and that I needed to call back and ask for for John Marshall at ext. 216. I immediately looked up the number, seen that it was a bad number and called back. I asked for John Marshall. I politely told him after he said a courier had been leaving a note on my door concerning my 2013 taxes for 2 weeks. I told him I knew this was a bad number, I knew this was a scam, and to not call me again. February 10, 2016, 12:47 pm I received a voicemail from a man stating he was with the Department of Legal Affairs with the US Treasury and that he was calling me about an unfortunate legal action being taken against me. I was suspicious but called back regardless. The same man who left the voicemail on my phone answered on the second ring. If any of you have ever called a government number regardless if it is a "direct line" you should know that there is always a pre recorded government message, I have never called a government number without having to go through so kind of telephone prompting. When He identified himself he was difficult to understand due to his strong Indian accent, I asked him to repeat who he was with, he hung up on me. Also I don't know anyone be it the government or a creditor who would hang up on someone calling about some kind of money owed. If you contact the US Treasury the first thing they say in the prompts is to beware of scams as the US Treasury does not make unsolicited calls or send emails in regards to important legal matters. If you would like more information you can visit their website, I am providing the link below to direct you immediately to the scam page however since we are talking about being cautious I would advise you to pull up the website yourself. :) https://www.treasury.gov/services/report-fwa/Pages/Report-Email-Scams.aspx DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION. If you suspect that you may in fact owe the government money, call them directly, you can find the number on the US Treasury website. I can assure you they would be happy to speak anyone willing to pay a debt that is owed and sometime are able to set up a payment plan. Be assured they will contact you via mail and again if you are unsure that they have your information give the IRS a direct call and they can assist you. February 10, 2016, 5:40 pm A man with an Indian accent told me I was in legal trouble with the Us Treasury. I told him I knew this was a scam and asked him if he we should get the FBI involved. February 12, 2016, 10:12 am Just received a call from this number and like all the rest from a man with a Indian accent. He pretty much told me the same thing that they told everyone else. He asked me if I had a lawyer and when I said yes he wanted his name and number but I told him if I was in trouble with the IRS they would get ahold of me. He told me they have tried by sending me a letter and a e-mail. He told me to call a number and ask for Jason Deen but I told him he was full of **** and hung up. Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher
