August 6, 2015, 1:21 pm Loser will fake payments with fraudulent paypal emails. This is not a real transaction. Paypal told me that there was no mistake. It was a not a real transaction and that this is very common. Scammers will just take your money for the shipping that fake prepaying you if you send it to western union and fall for the scam. I just found out that the online classified sites like craigslist and kijijij are warning people about this shipping overpayment scam. Good luck, people!! August 18, 2015, 3:02 am The caller from this number is trying to the "shipping overpayment scam" where they tell you that they will pay extra so you can pay the shipping company for your item for them. They will pay with a fake paypal email or fake check hoping that you will not figure it out first before you pay the scammer with real money through western union. Possibly a scammer from Africa. August 29, 2015, 4:47 pm This was a text from someone who was pretending to buy something off me from kijiji and they overpaid on the shipping with the paypal order. February 14, 2016, 9:14 pm Classified scam. Overpayment shipping scam. They fake payments with forged payment emails or faked checks. They say they are overpaying for shipping to get you to deal with yourself and then expect you to pay a specific shipping company with a western union account. This is a fake western union account to the scammer directly. Untraceable. You send the money and then they laugh and you can keep your item to resell ripped off.
