December 15, 2015, 6:55 pm I am getting threats for debt claims on this number. They gave me a claim number on my voicemail and told me to call them back to discuss the debts and start payments. Not sure what this is and I have not received any paperwork documenting debts. Caller Company: IPS Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

February 11, 2016, 3:53 pm This is a debt claims company. Junk debt I assume. Not research shows legit claims at all. They are probably buying up junk debt for pennies on the dollar as most do and then use massive call centers to scare people into paying any debts at all. Profitable business model. Caller Company: IPS Caller Type: Debt Collector

February 12, 2016, 11:32 am This company called and left a voice message with a claim number.. I called them back and the lady hung up on me. That cannot be much of a debt. I also told the lady Bria I think her name was. She asked for the person I told them that they were no longer employed with this company. She then asked me if I knew where they were working at. I told her it is unlawful for me to provide the contact information address etc without consent of the employee be it current or former. Caller Company: IPS Caller Type: Debt Collector

February 16, 2016, 2:14 pm They called several times looking for my husband, leaving the same message that everyone is getting. I answered the other day and when the lady asked for him I said he wasn't available could I take a message? No response from them for about 15 sec., and me repeatedly saying HELLO, she said well do you have a pen and paper and I said, yes but here let me give you this name, Ben Jefferies ( not the name I used) he is a deputy sheriff ( he is) and she replied, are you stupid, and hung up on me. So, I called them back, got a man and told him he could direct calls to the deputy sheriff, and he raised his voice and stated um why would you want law enforcement handling your husband's SS# and kept arguing with me. So I had the deputy sheriff ( my future son-in-law) call him back. Once he identified himself as an officer, the man stated well I need your badge number and phone number so he could check it with the MCIC data base ( he was checking to see if he really was law enforcement). They argued, with "Ben" telling him that only government has access to that, the man became irritated so Ben told him he was recording him etc. and he hung up on him. It was reported to the attorney general's office. If you get a call, try to get their name, company name, and what it's in regards to, then report all of this to your local law enforcement agency and then they can shut it down quicker thru the attorney general's office. |
