This sales ploy is false as my sole credit card company, Chase, does not use third party agents to deal with customers who have credit in good standing. April 25, 2014, 2:32 pm Keep getting repeated calls from this number, have called customer service at Verizon to see what they can do. Verizon suggest calling the do not call center, however, the do not call center seems to be broken. I think next time I get a call, I will push the button to talk with a live customer, then start pushing all the buttons on my home phone, so that they will think it is a fax machine. May 9, 2014, 2:20 pm Don't pick up the phone - They could be testing to see if they get a live person and then sell a list of confirmed phone numbers. The credit card service could be someone phising. You know when they ask for your credit card number. DO NOT GIVE anyone calling you personal information, credit card, bank account numbers, address. Most banks & credit card companies don't use those methods of contacting you. Anyone sound legitimate probably isn't so ask for a phone number that you can call them back on.
