January 22, 2015, 7:23 am Grant scam. They pretend to be offering big $8000 or $9000 US Government grants and then tell you that you only need to pay a fee to collect the grant and get the paperwork done. The grant department has actually released a statement informing people about this scam and tells people to file a complaint with authorities if you get one. This is a 100% con-artist calling attempting to lure you with anything he can to get your credit card number. February 14, 2015, 10:59 am In my case the grant scam was for $7,500 and the person wants me to confirm all my personal information and then pay them with my credit card for collecting the grant.
