How do we let the US Treasury know this is going on? I've also received at least 10 calls, repeatedly with no message left, from 5-6 other 202 numbers on my landline. July 13, 2016, 5:59 pm Left a voice mail claiming that they are from the IRS. They say that if you don't call them back they will take you to court. I work for the IRS, and I know that is not how the IRS operates. Upon an audit, a person is contacted by mail. Besides, they are calling my cell phone, and the number on my taxes is my home number. July 20, 2016, 11:04 am A voicemail was left to call this number about IRS, original call was from 870-466-8663 claiming to be IRS. This is a scam saying you owe back taxes and penalties or you will be arrested or have to go to Washington DC in front of a grand jury. July 23, 2016, 4:00 pm Got call from this number 7/16/2016 threatening legal action if I didn't call back. I could barely understand the message because of the static. I think it has to do with the data stolen from the government last year in the hacking of personnel records of anyone that's gotten a government background check.
