I am getting IRS scam attempts with this number. Told me I needed to pay a fine and back taxes or I would be arrested. Had a thick Indian accent with a very white person sounding name. They get quite arrogant if you question them at all. Very rude and aggressive about bossing you once you don't want to be conned.

This number can also be cross referenced with a UK number that is know to be used by Paymentshield Brokerage. I think they are a PPI refund scheme

Calls were regarding fixing my computer of viruses that were being transmitted out onto the internet. I needed them to remotely come in and fix the problem. Yeah right, buddy. Clearly a conjob to sell you tech support memberships under false pretenses. The FTC has been clear about this type of caller, it's totally misleading and trying to fake technical assistance so you will feel safe buying an expensive tech support membership or buy software which is available for free elsewhere. Block if possible.

I got a scammer on this number telling me that I was going to be arrested for tax evasion. Said he was from the US Treasury Department and that I was going to be arrested at my home or job if I didn't comply immediately and begin sending them a payment on the old taxes and fines still owed. I laughed at the idiot and he yelled death treats at me with a very strong Indian accent.

I got some Indian accented person wanting to speak to my boss or the owner of the business. The call was about selling credit card processing systems and they asked my boss if we currently had credit card processing and if we would be interested in using another company. My boss doesn't sell with phone solicitations for this part of the business and will stay with the current processor. Would never use phone sales for this as researching it personally results in better and more secure business partnerships anyway.

I got a computer maintenance department caller on this line. They said I had viruses and serious computer problems that needed to be addressed to save other users on the internet from getting infected. Wished to install remote control of my computer to fix the problem. This is actually a very famous scam. They want to sell you fake memberships at the end of the call after they build trust with you for the the fake tech support.

The "NOVATEL" on the caller id is faked. In my case I had an Indian man, soudned young, trying to convince me that he was from the government and that he was offering me a free grant. All I needed to do was send me a small processing fee payment on my credit card. This is fake and the grants department has publicly started so. They don't call people at random giving money away.

Fake Microsoft tech support criminals. They are an organized mafia in India that makes massive amounts of calls over the internet to avoid being traced and they fake technical support. They claim to be in California. They will say you have a virus and only they can fix it with remote access. If they do fix your computer as they claim this is false and just a gimmick to get you trusting them and wishing to purchase a technical support contract to prevent this fake problem from happening again.

Fake "NOVATEL" listing on call display. This is spoofed to give the scam criminal calling you a way to look legit. They are a fake tech support or government grant scammer. Possibly other scams. It's all bad with this line to stay away. Nothing is wrong with your pc and the gov grants are fake. Beware.
