February 5, 2015, 6:17 pm Caller ID said "Antigua" and I have no relatives or friends in that region. No business contacts either. Very good chance that this is a callback scam. There are literally thousands of numbers from that region being used for this type of scam. They have call management systems setup to keep you on hold with music while they bill you. February 28, 2015, 9:54 pm There are a number of countries that this callback scam in operating from. All carribean islands. It originally started in Grenada and then spread around. They want you bill you while putting you on hold when you call them back. Best to block and ignore. You will very likely get a change on your bill. They want you to call them back so they can pretend to have a music system keep you on the line for as long as they can while you are curious about who is calling. July 25, 2015, 3:51 pm Professional callback scammers. They want you to get curious so they can bill you with premium rates when you call them back. They will try to sound like a business you might have dealt with when you call them back so you will choose to stay on the line. Might use music to make the wait seem like it will quickly end.
