March 14, 2014, 1:10 pm This company calls numbers on the National Do-Not-Call Registry (in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act) and plays a recorded message without an operator on the line (also in violation of the TCPA). They claim, in the recording, that this is your second and final notice to lower your interest rates on your credit cards and that you must speak to an operator now. When you get to an operator, that individual refuses to provide a physical address (also in violation of the TCPA) and refuses to provide a non-toll-free phone number (again in violation of the TCPA). This is clearly a scam designed to get your personal and banking information to commit identity theft or to just steal directly from your bank and credit card accounts.
