Faking misleading virus repair services so you will build trust and then by their fake services and altered freeware (which is illegal to sell). They get angry if they are not respected. They need remote access immediately to fix this problem and need you to fix settings. They want to sell you very expensive tech support services for hundreds of dollars and these services are fake. They are Indian scammers who are not based on the USA and they want to sell you technical support memberships by first faking a virus fix to make you feel trustworthy of them. February 5, 2016, 5:46 pm Caller wanted to talk about my computer.He did not call me by name. I said you don't know if I have a computer, you are scam and I hung up. I received another call from same number a day later and gave same response. I then blocked number but he tried again same day. With block it rang 3x then stopped. I know for certain that I don't have a virus as I am a tech myself. These scam calls are very popular for scam artists and they won't stop anytime soon. February 22, 2016, 6:04 pm Got a call while ago from this woman with a thick Indian accent. Said she was with Microsoft and I was guilty of illegally downloading 10,000 illegal files. I don't download illegal files and have all the original titles on store bought disk. The service provider is who catches people doing that. Not Microsoft. Apparently according to reports they change their story up every so often. But it's always the same people and quite often they say they're with Microsoft. February 27, 2016, 11:52 am Feb. 26, 2016, received a 2nd call from Microsoft IT about my computer pinging. Wanted me to go to the computer and he would walk me through the steps to remove the virus or malware. Said he was from Seattle, Indian sound accent but polite. January 23, 2017, 2:23 pm Received a call a few min ago about a "lower interest rate" on credit cards. I connected to a person and asked to be removed from the marketing list and Samson stated he was not selling anything. I asked him to remove my number from his list. He would not comply.
