May 29, 2014, 4:23 am This is is a credit card debt assistance company called Experian and they were calling to offer their services which will entail giving them very personal information like your snn number by typing it into the phone. June 9, 2014, 6:12 pm I think this is a scam. They say they are offering help to get rid of debt on your credit card, but it looks more like a scam to me. The first sign to me that this is a scam is that they have Indian accents. Not being racist, but in this day and age there are way to many illegal phone calls being made with Indian accented people, the tech scam is a perfect example. July 26, 2014, 1:20 am Caller ID says this is "SURVEY" but when you answer it it's just a automated message for lowering your interest rates for a time limited offer you need to take right away or risk losing it. These people are the "Rachel Card Services" scammers or some offshoot version of it. Best to keep your card info private and ignore this fraud attempt. August 29, 2014, 10:40 am I've received multiple calls from this number (570-983-3206). When I answer, no one is on the line,it is just silence and then an automated message says, "goodbye". September 30, 2014, 1:04 pm This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. they further violation the TCPA by not having an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message when the phone is answered without an operator to pause or stop the recording and answer questions. They compound their violation by refusing to provide a phone number or physical address when asked. Their recording claims that you are eligible for a reduction on your credit card rates and fees. The recording also falsely claims that this is your second (no, they call a lot) and final (probably not, as they keep calling) notice. This is clearly a scam, as any legitimate business would gladly provide the phone number and address when asked, and would not violate the TCPA by calling numbers on the do not call list and playing a recording without an operator on the line to answer questions.
