January 20, 2017, 10:58 am I got the same thing. I only listened because it was humorous. They said they were from the federal government commission (lol) and had free money for me. They asked how I'd like my money through my bank account, card or pick up. I of course said pick up and then they said you have to call this number back then and give them this passcode. I of course laughed my ass off when I got off the phone and didn't call back but yeah they are scammers. Either hang up or mess with them. Whatever but don't give them any real info. January 25, 2017, 5:14 pm Told me that I have been granted free money from a government grant and that I am able to use it but not on anything illegal. SCAM! I also got a call from 714-618-1089 couple hours earlier saying the same thing. SCAM! I put my number on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY but it won't kick in until 31 days has passed. January 30, 2017, 6:20 pm I've been receiving calls from this number since January 27, 2017. They called me four times today (January 30) alone. Thankfully, I have the "horrible" habit of not answering calls from numbers I don't recognize. I'm on the Do Not Call list. Have been for over 10 years. I still get way too many BS calls. I've read here and other places that this caller is a scammer. However, I labeled it as Unknown simply because I never answered when they called. I did, however, try to call them back today and got a fast busy signal. It's the 21st century and the telephone companies can't/won't allow you to block a particular number. Ridiculous! January 31, 2017, 1:24 pm I have received several phone calls from this number. The first time I missed the call and when I called back the outgoing message was that I had missed the survey deadline. The second time I answered and when the man started to tell me about Federal grant money I asked him to remove me from the list at which point he proceeded to curse me out, calling me "a fucking bastard," told me I was an idiot and said something about my father. He had a heavily accented voice and outside of being plain rude he was also nearly unintelligible. Outside of the discomfort of being called to have someone be so aggressive it is painstakingly obvious that this phone call is a scam or attempt to phish Bank information out of unwitting people. February 2, 2017, 3:59 pm I asked these people to stop calling me days ago, everytime i block the number they are calling from(because there are several diffrent one with area codes that do not resemble each other), they call from a totally different number, IT IS A SCAM, i told them to stop calling me today and he told he that he didnt give a S**T, that he was still going to call me and i asked what he wanted and the reason for th call, he told me he wanted my P**sy. i hung up can reported it to the better business bureau and the federal trade commission, when i told him i was reporting the company he immediately hung up. March 31, 2017, 2:54 pm I have been getting calls from this number daily - 2-5 times a day, for the last 2 months, I don't answer, I don't know the number. No message ever left. I called back once, wouldn't go through, got a recording. Scammer is what I am thinking. I am on the Do Not Call list and it doesn't stop them. Why even bother with getting registered with it.
