They may ask you for sensitive banking information to try to fake verifiying you to address a non-existant problem. April 8, 2015, 11:35 pm I can also vouch for the RBC scam. Not a real number so be careful. I don't recommend anyone call this number back. A lot of scammers now will use premium rate billing numbers to call you with or at least spoof those billing numbers on the caller id. So even if they can't trick you by talking to you they will then bill you for being curious about who is calling you. August 19, 2015, 10:44 am This was a fraudulent RBC caller claiming that I had fraud on my card and needed to verify information. I hung up and called RBC directly using the number on the back of my card and they told me that my account was fine and no fraud had taken place. No changes other than regular purchases. November 1, 2015, 1:31 am I think that this is actually an RBC debt collection or recovery number. I can't confirm it's legitimacy 100%, but you should call them back if you want to be certain.
