January 21, 2016, 12:40 pm Since September of 2015, I have received calls from this company (High Point Asset), using different phone numbers but all with an 855 area code. I asked for a validation of debt the first time, but they never sent one. I advised them that per my internet research, they were trying to scam people out of money. They did stop for a few weeks and the calls resumed. I sent a certified letter requesting a validation of debt, or a cease & desist on all future contact. They responded that they would forward my request to "their client," and I didn't receive any calls for about 1 month. They resumed again today. I am soooooo tired of them... I called back and told them they had the wrong number and that person they try to reach is not known to me. They said they would remove my number. Keeping my fingers crossed they took my number really out of their caller registry.

January 29, 2016, 2:02 pm They have been calling me for a year. The debt the are calling about is a documented, paid off debt. The original debt was $300, they tell me that 3 other lenders can "claim my debt" even though I never borrowed from them. SCAM!! I have had 24 hours before action is taken for a year now.... They are one of many that buy old debts right before they are about to fall off your credit report, and they will do anything to get the money out of you, including scare tactics. Leaving messages that sound like you may be in legal trouble - BUT YOUR NOT. If you where you would get a summons to appear in court on the matter or at the least papers in the mail explaining your rights and instructions on what you need to do. These agents get bonus's and daily cash prizes for those that are able to collect the most. Please don't fall for it, give them your address only and tell them you want mail documentation/ correspondence, then block their number, and or don't even answer their calls. February 4, 2016, 4:01 pm I got a call and the guy tried to get me to confirm my Social Security number I told him I don't give out my Social Security number and he said I already have your Social Security number. And then he asked me if the number he read to me was correct and I told him I would not confirm nor deny I. I asked him what does that was regarding and he first wanted to get all my personal information and I hung up he said it was for a payday loan I believe the problem is I hired a consolidation company to pay off all my payday loans and now I'm starting to think that maybe the consolidation company was kind of a scam too. February 8, 2016, 2:22 pm Got the call - In 24 hours, they will take further action. I have gotten 8 of these calls in the last 4 years. I have told every one of them, send me the contract I signed and I will pay you the money. I have never gotten a copy of the contract, but they say they are taking me to court. 4 years ago the calls started and have gained stem since the Office Of Personal Management got my security clearance information stolen. All my information SS, Birth date, employers, addressed (Of me and all my relatives.) They have even called my relatives. My brother in law is an attorney and he contacted them, they said he had to have a power of attorney to talk on my behalf, we sent them a power of Attorney. We requested the contract I signed and they never responded to my attorney! Total scam, today so many companies have our personal information and some are unscrupulous and sell our information. Many 855 numbers you call are out of this country and charge high fees to call them. NEVER give personal information to ANYONE who calls you. Find out the name of the company and call them directly. February 23, 2016, 6:39 am RELENTLESS?!?! That's putting it mildly. I have literally been receiving calls from "their company" for over 2 years. Do they really believe I'd return their calls, provide requested info or have my attorney contact them...for what? I've had live & computerized male American/foreign voicemails. And my most recent favorite (yesterday)...an American female computerized voice. As if that would put me more at ease to call. MORONS!!! Sometimes they say my name & other times it's a totally different name all together. At this point it's so humorous to me that I let my 15 y/o daughter listen to messages about what scams are out there & how "legal" sounding they are, or lack there of. February 23, 2016, 12:11 pm This company has called me for the last 18 months from at least 4 other numbers claiming that I am in default (of what? they never say) and that they are filing a lawsuit against me & that the sheriff is coming to get me. Yeah right! I have blocked them and every number they call from. Bunch of unethical pieces of scum! As a side note the sheriff or police will never come to your home looking for you, maybe in the past when they had debtor's prison but not in this day and age. Hang up on them and block them. She also gives the 855-764-8994 number to call back if I want to know what I am going to sign for. Please if she that bold to come to my door is all I got to say. Never said what it was for or about. He then said he was going to come by and have me sign them so I need to be available. June 1, 2016, 4:30 pm I have been receiving phone calls since last week from a man stating hes from NCR and that I need to set up a payment plan with one of my creditors or pay the settlement. If not then my work will receive notice to garnish my wages. First off no one can garnish wages unless I have been to trial for it. Keep talking all this legal stuff and they want my debit card card # to know I am serious about paying. Its got me freaked out but after reading all these complaints Im worried it might be a scam. And he is calling me at work. I told him to not call here at work and he said I cant do that and that he would continue to call my job unless payment is resolved. June 25, 2016, 10:45 am I have been receiving calls at my mother's house number from a man named Thomas Klein. Because I no longer live there my Mother and Grandmother have been answering the calls. He tells them that they are taking me to court and he even went so far as to tell my mother that it over an Old Navy credit card and they would be going to court the next day. Well the next day came and went. Then the day after next a call from a restricted number left a voice-mail on my phone. It was this Thomas Klein claiming his ' firm ' has filed a complaint with my local municipal court and they need me to call them at 855-764-8894 ext 111. This is all kinds of wrong for several reasons. 1. The credit card in question has been defaulted without payment for about 10 years now passing the statute of limitations in my state to sue for credit card debt. It's not even in my credit report anymore. 2. The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act prohibits a debt collector from discussing your debt to a third party, in this case family members who were not authorized users of the credit card nor are they my legal guardians or attorneys. 3. Most telling of all I checked the court dockets for both cities I've resided and I am not listed on ANY of them. Plus I've never received a letter or certified mail to serve me my summons to go to court. All in all these guys are faker than a $3 bill and I won't be retuning any of their calls. She says that I had a complaint filed againest me regarding my dad who is now deceased and has been since last year. This Ms. Daniels says she needs a statement from me or my legal counsel directly. Im glad I searched the number because I thought what is going on and who would report me about my dad who is dead. Im going to block this number.... July 3, 2016, 8:08 pm Calling saying that her name is Leah Daniels. Said she had my social and I have charges at the local courthouse and being served with a summons the next day. I need to be there to sign or they're going to my job. I can stop this by calling the number she left. I called my courthouse 1st and learned that there are no charges or summons.
